Turning on Your Service:

In order to turn on gas and/or water service(s) you must come to the Corinth Gas and Water Department located at 305 West Waldron Street. You are required to have the following:

Home Owner:

  • 911 Form
  • 2 Forms of Identification (drivers license is required and another form such as social security card, insurance card, voter registration, etc.)
  • Proof of Ownership (trust deed, warranty deed, copy of land tax payment, etc.)

Renter:

  • 911 Form
  • 2 Forms of Identification (drivers license is required and another form such as social security card, insurance card, voter registration, etc.)
  • Original Lease Agreement

The 911 Form must be in the name of the person applying for service and their signature is required on the service application. Deposits must be paid before service(s) will be turned on.

NOTE: If the customer has any bad debts pending with the department they must pay the balance in full before services will be turned on.

A customer transferring from one location to another must pay any balance owing from the location they are moving from before services will be turned on at a new location. Service(s) can be transferred only by the person in whose name the deposits are in and their signature, with proper identification, is required on the service order. A transfer fee will be charged and no orders are taken by telephone.

Services will not be turned on without the presence of an adult at the location.
